The words of Sicilian top model Eva Riccobono are another important account from the fashion world on the petition against pro-anorexia websites. Upon signing the petition, that has now almost four thousand supporters, Eva gave us her opinion on the relationship between beauty and society.

"I fear that in the last years there has been a decrease in the attention on the part of institutions regarding the issues of anorexia and eating disorders. It is fundamental that especially those with an educational role in society convey and support a "healthy" message regarding the concept of beauty that is respectful to the person as a whole. We must spread a new awareness to counter the creation of such pro-anorexia websites; thinness is not a positive social value and, most of all, it has nothing to do with the concept of beauty associated to "health". The wellness of a person lies in their balance, and rejecting food, like love, means rejecting life!".
