A friend I went over to the States to see sent me a pic of the calf boots she has, unfortunately she doesnt know what make or style name they are although the name Oakley sticks in her mind for some reason.

Anyone seen boots like these before? The heels are the blade/chisel type which are quite nice in my opinion, and heels are 3" high. Laces are non-functional..

Thanks

They are very Victorian boots inspired, but I have no idea. They look like something YSL would do.

They're rather similar (like Vintage Princess pointed out) to the Marc by Marc Jacobs F/W 04 boots, except for maybe the heel, the Marc ones are brown, while yours are navy/black. I can't help you though about the name, but if you are interested here are pics of the boot I am talking about. :flower:

Thanks for the replies :) If those boots are what is cosidered "top line fashion" then perhaps the wood effect heel is making a return? I hope so, the chunkier ones always looked nice in my opinion.

^ it is indeed!! everyone's seeking them on ebay, and we had a thread on them here at TFS :D

Well I really hope they are because I was quite partial to seeing so many of them around on the street & in the shops here!

However, Im not sure everyone will like these; just have to put them up here are I wanna see what people say :D

I really like those Marc Jacobs' boots. They have a nice shape. I'd wear them if they cost like $400 less and had a 2" shorter heel!

I had a pair of those back in the 1970's, when they were first in fashion. B) They look too clunky for my present taste - heel is just TOO square, no taper at all.:(

i like the height, heel thickness and platform of those...if only it were all leather-covered instead of stacked :yuk:... it would seem balenciaga-esque...and i agree, the heel IS too square! it needs to be more tapered!

Weren't the Ann Demeulemeester boots (F/W 2005) like that, although I don't know if they had heels?
