This brooch is constructed from purple and black tweed fabric and forms and unsual corsage. The fastening is a sturdy brooch pin.

^Damn... I wish they would show Project Runway here....we've only had the first season here!

Does anyone know where you can buy wholesale or retail fabric embellishments/flowers etc to make fabric jewellery? Looks great!

:woot: Thanks so much for the new photos, Estella Mare Susie bubble
I'm so glad to see less "flower" jewellery :D (although some pieces seem to be inspired by flowers, it's not too literal)

evansrenee It's actually kind of simple to make fabric flowers. I've seen a lot of books at the library on how to make those, always at the crafts section. There are some for creating flowers by folding (origami) and some by cutting.

And to completely contradict myself, here are pictures from Dries van Noten Fall '05

I got some new supplies the other day... So now, all I need is time...

This thread reminds me of those Ann Demeulemeester brooches. There are a few up at yoox right now actually.

How amazing is draganaperisic.com!! I love the fabric jewellery so inspiring as a costume jewellery designer myself..

Check out this artist's jewelry. Her name is Ayala Bar. Specifically, for this thread, her "Hip Fall-Winter 2006-2007" line. I'm sorry. I don't know how to transfer any of her pictures onto this thread.

Beautifully handmade beads in tartan fabric and faux pearl, intricately studded with metal pins. Exquisitely detailed and designed, with a satisfying dose of obsessive craft work.
