i have this dressing-up thing coming on next thursday and i'm going to be a fairy. just designed my dress and everything but now the only problem is the makeup. i don't know what to do with my face and hair :D i was planning glitter, green and yellow eyeshadow or something..

other suggestion that i thought could be something like this

i need more ideas, suggestions

my dress is going to be pink and white, if that's any help

soft pastel colours..and no harse eyeliner or maxed out mascara...
Soft hair (maybe some of it teased up for volume paired with tiny braids and curls ?)
Glitter in hair and on body as well?
Sorry I have no pictures (as my own laptop is being repaired :( )

-i suggest raspberry coloured lips
- shimmery pastel colours for eyes and cheeks
benefit has great products for a look like this

There was a whole section on this sort of makeup in teen vogue a few months back - ill try and find the issue for you so we can see if anyone can post some scans

I think she looks very fairy-like here...

thanks for all the great ideas ! i love the little girl but maybe not this time :D

tinuviel thanks for those they gave my bunch of new ideas what to do with my face. and i loved hanne's idea for hair. i had been thinking about curls but not braids, that should be cute

sydney, waiting for those pics if you can get them scanned

drew barrymore in ever after, her make up here is simple but decidedly fairyish. all you need is face/body shimmer, glitter, gold, silver & pastel colored eyeshadow, maybe some tinsel or flowers to string in your hair a little... or those diamantes that clip onto your hair from MAC? Or you could be a new wave fairy with neon colors?

When you put on foundation...mix in a little moisturiser and shimmer, such as Revlon skinlights and apply foundation as normal. Then use your shimmer to add extra highlight around the eyes and cheekbones. I think a silvery shimmer is best, it's more ethereal.

For mascara, either use a very tiny amount just to highlight your lashes, or maybe get some fun glittery ones from Shu Uemura.

Lips keep very simple...maybe a little gloss, or vaseline.
