i actually really like it. it's not remotely high fashion. looks more like something you'd find in "Redbook" or some other middle-aged woman's magazine. but i think she looks peaceful and relaxed and beautiful. it's great to see the pic of her laughing with her son.
and you're right, Gergin - this will definitely sell well for them.
i never understand how Canadian fashion magazines survive. let alone for 35 years! i mean, we're so close to the USA that all of their fashion magazines are readily available and because they have 10x the population, the circulation of the mags is much much higher and their budgets match.
why would someone in Canada by "Fashion" when the can by W or Vogue or i.D. for the exact same price?
it'd be a real challenge to try and run this magazine. to figure out where to put your funds. i do think there's a lot of talent here, though. so a true visionary might be able to transform it into something a little more avant garde.
anyway - i'm most excited about the Testino photoshoot that was casually mentioned in the article! haha.
