Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

This is kind of a companion piece to Yves telling average women to buy the clothes that inspired his collection in the flea market, if they can't get couture. I mean, it's pretty solid advice that would STILL look good on a woman. Can you imagine any designer NOW saying something this sensible about clothes and fashion?

Got anything on versace blueorchid, also love the shady posts

Stefano owes a good one to Domenico! He put him through so much!
Nevertheless, I kind of admire how they have managed to flip things over despite all the controversies. They recovered faster than Balenciaga.
No I think they're two peas in a pod, Stefano was just extra loud The quiet One is probably worse. They are the greatest flippers of controversy the fashion industry has ever seen. Good for them 😂 Balenciaga should have cut ties right then and there and look at where they are now wondering around.

I actually loved the D&G gowns, I never understood why the collection was hated so much. Another iconic moment, Gisele's return to the catwalks after 4 years.
(If I hear anyone saying the opening was terrible.:boxer:)

I never actually heard that but it was one of the greatest shows of all time. And they played Madonna.

Question for @yslforever, because this might be in your wheelhouse, what is the deal with Woman is Sweeter? The documentary about Yves from 1969/1970-ish? Why is it unseen? Is it stuck in some sort of limbo with music rights/the filmmaker? It sounds... interesting. Free it!!!

He was handsome I bet they did a lot of fooling around

This is known to be the last Versace interview ! His last show about a week or two after this he was dead. Many of these dresses were actually cut from the main show never to be seen again what a shame. Versace was known to cut up to 15 to 20 dresses from his collections. Versace is one of the greatest designers the world has ever seen. There's something pure here something that we have never got a chance to see you again the idea of dressmaking around the body.

Isabella Bow once told the truth about her, that it went through the family's self-censorship .

"Vodianova held him off for months before agreeing to meet at his apartment, to avoid a chance sighting and igniting media speculation. “We had a drink on his terrace with a view of Paris,” she says, “and it was completely ridiculous. We were both super shy. I knew that seeing him in jeans, like a casual, normal guy, I liked him. But he didn’t even try to kiss me! I’m not the kind of girl who worries if a man likes her. I mean, somewhere deep down I’m really fragile, and it would hurt me, but I put on a lot of bravado, even to myself. So I thought, OK, maybe he just wants to be friends?” Subsequent texts disabused her of the notion."

Their brand damage still needs time to repair esp in China. After the scandal their No.1 top selling store is Changsha, not Beijing not Shanghai. Where is Changsha? here is some data for reference.

2023 Jan-Jul

Beijing CN World Hermes store revenue is around 917 millions
Shanghai Plaza66 887 millions
Changsha IFS 364 millions
