I just finished watching the Top 5 episode of Fashion File for Fall 2006, and took notes so that we could all discuss Remember, these are the opinions of Fashion File Enjoy!

Top 5 Donts ( This was more of a joke category, just clips of akward moments and all that :
5) Trash Talk ( Clips of male model Fionn insulting the Jil Sander collection, saying stuff like "What was he thinking?" and then another clip of Zac Posen dissing Marc Jacobs " You can't just layer clothes on top of eachother and call them shapes....Like Marc Jacobs" is what he says.. )
4) Showstopper (Basicaly, not interupting shows while they are in progress..they cut to a clip of Dita Von Tesse and entourage cutting through the runway in the middle of the Moschino show, almost causing one of the models to bump into them)
3) Careful for photograohers (The Fendi platform incident, and how people should be more aware of the press and all that, since essentialy, they are the people that get your show out there)
2) Mask Mistake ( Talking about the masks that were featured in alot of shows and how they are a bit too strange for real life)
1) Stam Stumbles ( Clip of Jessica Stam falling at Chloe, and how no girl can really call herself a model till she makes a mistake on the runway..you see the fall from the side and the front It was really bad and I think she hit her head, but she smiled, got up and clapped with the rest of the audience So cute!

yup yup yup,,, i agree with this! Nicolas did steal the limelight imo....

though I am very surprised Marc Jacobs wasn't in Top 5 collections - i think he was slightly more influential than Prada this season...

i just caught this episode and I liked everything, esp. the oversized sweater, plaid, wide-leg pants trends...
although, i was kind of disappointed with the top 5 Dont's...I wanted the worst actual shows ...but I guess Tim Blanks wants to keep his job...

i'm definitely inclined to agree with you on this lena

i think marc jacobs's collection definitely got a lot of attention because of it's styling and there are probably a lot of good pieces in there but prada was definitely more commercial and more wearable as an entire "look"

marc jacobs imo just went too over the top with the layers so that if anyone wore those looks walking down the street they would look like they were wearing every article of clothing they own.. and then some...
