Anyway here's my opinion...
I seriously wonder how did Balenciaga get to the top of the list... I am never a fan of the Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga aesthetic. Not then, not now, not future. I tried on some of the clothes from previous seasons in a outlet sale (clothes from two to four seasons ago which were going for 90% discount), and... yes, I was tempted to buy not because of the design but only the price (SGD$3000 clothes going for SGD$100), as I wanted a few more pieces of luxury fashion in my wardrobe but I decided against it because they were so not wearable (a bright red patent looking vinyl jacket that has no lining and you can see all the seams and everything on the inside, and padded cropped jackets).
I finally know how did the clothes ended up selling at such a huge discount.
As for the rest of the list... Where's my McQueen and Louis Vuitton!? (I thought that Marc Jacob had put out a reasonably strong season for LV with that Stephford Wives aesthetic (I agree that it's a boring recurring theme for the past couple of seasons), but with a sweet tinge of pastel colour inside.
And I don't think that Givenchy deserves to be at No. 4... it's an okay collection, not specifically amazing, especially with that ruffles cutting that we have actually seen in the McQueen's Horn of Plenty collection... I did have a question when I saw the following looks coming down the runway...

Isn't it McQueen...?

Ok, maybe McQueen took it from somewhere else... I don't know.
But I loveeeeeee Lanvin's collection... It seems like Alber Elbaz was paying tribute to the man who wanted to groom him as his successor, Monsieur Yves saint Laurent.
