Fashion magazine clichés you are sick of

In honor of the latest issue of Vogue US, editorials with the titles of "lean machine," "mean and lean," "clean and lean," etc... when there are pants involved. Yes. We get it.

Another thing that really bugs me in some magazines is when they have captions on editorial pages where they list the clothing - especially when they are idiotic captions. Listing the clothes is necessary for the mags and interesting for me, but I don't want the editor proclaiming "Flower Power: put some fun in your spring wardrobe with florals, dress by Calvin Klein..."

The standard cheesy smile on the cover. The Cosmpolitan style. Every Cosmopolitan cover looks the same, and many other magazines do look similar. But it sells, I know...

"Fabulous/Gorgeous/Beautiful at EVERY SINGLE AGE!"

We hear that enough already...

My personal hate: One issue they'll talk about how wrong it is for stars to be thin, then the next issue they'll tout "Celebrity Diets!".

The word "polish." As in, "Wearing a handsome leather-strapped watch adds the extra polish to your business suit."

Describing a model as 'the new Kate' etc.
I hate it when magazines have articles on how awful eating disorders are then a few pages later it's 'how to look like a size zero model' They are so hypocritical!

Additionally, the following are equally overused:

"What to Wear Now!"
"The Right ____"
"Style Secrets for Every Age"
"What's Chic Now"
"The Latest _____"
"Best Hair & Makeup Tips"

Oddly, I found all of these headlines on Harper's Bazaar covers. Is that saying something?
