“This looked stunning on the catwalk also because the Swarovski crystals were like jewels. On some girls, I just used crystals around the eyes, and on others I used crystals on the lips. Not the outer lip line, but on a straight horizontal line where the lips touch. It was really striking. There were all kinds of little variations. What’s really mind blowing to me is that this makeup was copied afterwards by so many people. I did a variation of it later, too, for a Dior show in Athens, using pearls.
