Ah, children, these teeny-tiny CD covers with which they've stunted your imaginations. You do not know the mindbending wonders of the triple-gatefold sleeve. The Kansas Monolith album, I still can't look at freeway overpasses without feverishly hoping for Sioux in buffalo robes and spacemen helmets. It's prophecy, somehow. It will come to pass. You need an elder sister fond of prog rock, a beatnik dad into jazz, and big, square feet of vinyl covering cardboard to truly dig. As I child I have made up involved stories explaining many, many album covers. Here are some favorites images, I can't remember the stories anymore:

Anthony Rother - Simulationszeitalter

It's a paper digipack printed front + back with the image of the CD in a clear plastic jewel case. The vinyl release had the same packaging concept - paper gatefold sleeve printed with the image of the records in clear plastic sleeves.
