Seems like Roberto Cavalli's favorite adornment has finally proven itself as a trend, but ironically his collection had no feathers at all....strange for the designer who's single handedly kept the feather business alive and well.

I personally like it best when it's kept sleek against the body like the black and white Marchesa bodice, it just looks a little more interesting than a fluff of ostrich.

I'm kind of in love with the last coat, it's so rediculous looking, it's fabulous!

Great spotting!
I agree about that last coat. It's just so perfect!

^ I missed those! And I like them, very slick looking, but with a nice texture to it.

how about a fun name for the trend...

birds of a feather
...?

too obvious?...
any other fun ideas???...

:P

Actually, that was the first thought that came to my mind too softgrey, but I passed on it, it sounded too much like an Elle trend report.

Alejandro's on the other hand, may just be perfect.

Some more additions to the trend...

I kind of like the feather at Thakoon...but generally I hate this trend.

a few of these are very pretty but most aren't very wearable:-/ i like the michael kors feathered mini dresses; not too over the top.

Just magnificent, trust Emma Cook to sell this trend to me!

I don't mind feathers... in moderation

admittedly i think it works well for some pieces.. i liked it at marchesa, and i like the way michael kors used them..

it often looks too theatrical for practical, real-life wear though...

How does "pretty plumage" sound?
or Feathered Frocks?

this is genius just like the Muppet/shaggy chic thing!
I love the feathers!

Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana did a horrible job with the feathers. Most everyone else did a great job, though. I love the Marchesa dress!

I like the Emma Cook one actually.
