I have to give M&M props for this, they did a thrilling job with Fei Fei. I was a bit weary about seeing the results. Mainly because her and Meisel make magic. Even though M&M has produced work similar to this shoot, Fei Fei really does shine here.

See, this is why I was excited to see M&M working with Fei Fei again (after years!), and this time it's OG.

Personally it doesn't matter what people has to say regarding this editorial...of those negativity, if a model is going to work with M&M, you bet most likely or the tendency that their work/outcome will be trite, uninspiring, rehashed, and whatnot... (Isn't that just about the majority are nowadays?)


Anyway I wholeheartedly agree, this is one of Fei Fei's best editorial to date! Goodness.

Plus there are several shots that could be campaign worthy. I adore so, so many shots in this spread. Fei Fei photographed in different positions/angles and setting is a nice change from the usual.

Given this story, she's has cultivated and proved she's in a league of the better editorial girls, IMO. More to see please.

Hye Park (and maybe Ai Tominaga) comes to my mind immediately regarding the right model and 'fit' of these particularly fashion stories.

I think it's more about their ability as a model to execute a certain style and to me those two could do just as well, projecting that attitude and their body language. Though that's just my opinion.

I dont bother so much about all the comments because ya know, everyone has their own favorites and also personal opinions. I love fashion and especially love Fei Fei so I'm pretty biased towards her as well and I am no certified critic. People can comment whatever they choose, all I'm saying is, when it comes to the line, she delivered this in spades. Partly what I notice about Fei Fei, when she poses, her whole body poses and she's selling the garment as well. That little curved of her legs, her fingers, the tilt of her face..in the hand of the right photographer, always comes out amazing.

Yes, I agree on Ai Tominaga, she is such a legend. It also helps that Ai & Fei Fei has very interesting looks. Let me just add Ming Xi to this as well as I think she can totally rock this shoot's concept.

Yup, it helps that Fei Fei's modeling skills come off natural and enable to emote even the subtleties (and her figure helps too).

Now that you've mentioned Ming, I could see it now. She's actually underutilized and unappreciated. IMO she's a natural (and can so work it!) and is able to carryout these avant garde stories too. Shame that we don't see that often...
