FeiFei Sun

Cant expect her to not be gorgeous.
Anybody can ID the dress she's wearing?

Thank you @voguemagazine and @wendimurdoch for inviting me to the discussion about the influence of costume and fashion in film with #NicoleKidman and @hamishbowles, and to celebrate #ChinaThroughTheLookingGlass at @metmuseum!

^ It's Thakoon if you're still wondering. He helped sponsored the event.

Great new stuff! So now we know she was in Iceland for the COS campaign/lookbook.

I hope they will release more new pics from the Moussy campaign.

I heard she'll be on the October cover of VC. Can anybody confirm this?

^ Why, where did you hear that from?

Would be nice to see her nab a VC cover (particularly an autumn cover, for personal reasons). But even if she doesn't get one this year, Fei Fei got two last year.

COS Japanese minimalism for the new campaign FW 15-16

Research and simplicity, minimalism and drapes. COS offers for the new season a beautiful collection that makes us want more than ever winter temperatures and finally a bit of cold.

Everything lies in the simplicity. A simple "dressed" for details such as draping, pleats, belts, and references to a Japanese minimalism. A minimalist collection but built, punctuated by natural tones and cold, interrupted by touches of green or blue. Here's the COS campaign for children's collection.

COS plays with lengths, the details that are to break a linearity almost austere. The belts of long coats reminiscent of the obi of kimono, the folds of her skirt in wool instead refer to origami. Frills, laces, drawstrings ... many details that re almost call to work uniforms, details that break linearity essential especially on long dresses. Pants and skirts aim of ample proportions.

A collection that gives more than ever want to arrive early the cold, winter, snow ... that gives desire to cover up and protect themselves.

^^ I think the speculation came to fruition when Fei Fei wasn't apart of the VC Sept issue? But I wouldn't be surprised if she did.

Looks like the COS campaign was shot by Karim Sadli.

Its interesting that Olaf was credited has the photographer, although I love Sadli... Becker appears to capture the icebound terrain brilliantly! Nonetheless Fei Fei looks breathtaking! Not to mention landing both high-end and commercial campaigns

Fei Fei has a gorgeous shot in US Vogue by David Sims, I thought I share a preview with you all. :flower:

ETA: Looks like both Olaf and Karim are being credited as the photographer, so I'm not sure.

^ Thanks for the snap! (Good that she's in the issue, but only one shot?)

And yeah, the minute Women hashtagged Sadli's name I was confused myself too. But if one were to google Olaf's name his photography isn't fashion but landscape and nature.

It's likely Olaf was there to advise/supervise/collaborate with Sadli due to its location? Either way since Karim shot last season's campaign, it's safe to say he shot it again and not Olaf...

Thanks TheoG, for the explanation.

JoCalderone said Fei Fei's on Oct issue from the Vogue China thread.

^ Interesting. From various info on weibo, it was said that VC Oct. will be MG models and not sure if Fei Fei is among one of them...

Who knows. Nothing is definite right now but just speculation.

Hopefully Fei Fei nabs the November issue (though not gonna hold my breath).

Just saw this on Weibo. Can someone help me translate.
Fei Fei has her own dolls?

LINK

^

Translation:
Barbie, a toy company that is keen on dressing their dolls up like celebrities, launched three different "Feifei Doll Look" inspired by Feifei's street-style this year. You guys should be very familiar with these looks!

However, I could not find more information on it while searching around.

After researching, I dont think they are specifically Fei Fei dolls but her outfits were indeed inspired by Fei Fei.
I believe the doll is the asian one from the Fashionista collection.

Ive no other info on it or where they got those pics from.

Ok. Back from researching. Tee hee.

These Fei Fei dolls are fan made dolls actually, not an official project by Barbie, but by a very passionate collector. However, since they're kinda cool so I'm gonna repost his FF inspired dolls here.

Just for the heck of it...

Glad that Vogue is still loyal to Fei Fei for consistently featuring Fei Fei. She's a regular. Hopefully in the near future Vogue will have a snippet/small story on Fei Fei. (Though, Fei Fei will need to make a much bigger splash, to her current stature/resume, to acquire that kind of feature. I mean, she's not exactly a Karlie, Liu or even Cara... At the same time she can do it without these as she has a lot of support and still going.) Or perhaps another OG editorial. Basically Fei Fei will be groomed, if not already, in the same path as Ms. Kebede and Natalia. If not, then like Raquel.

+ Fei Fei was an inspiration for VC's glamour theme:

As much the location should be appreciated in color... found myself to be more attracted to the B&W shots. Fei Fei just look stunning in those monochrome shots. Happy that she was chosen for the campaign given the inspiration of the collection and glad to know she had fun in Iceland. It's a good campaign.

Below should be the complete/last images of the campaign.
