Vanessa Axenta was a Prada campaign exclusive last season, Daphne G for Givenchy S/S 2011, so yeah it's possible. But I doubt Fei Fei got offered an exclusive deal in this stage of her career. The campaigns were probably being shot at the same time thus she had to choose which one she wanted more.

Im always wondering how come Vogue China dont feature her very often. I mean, she's at the top of her game and it's not like Vogue pays a lot for models anyways..I wouldve fully utilized her talent. Is her beauty not appealing to China, only to us international folks?

I think it's simply because EIC of Chinese vogue doesn't want to follow international hits or choices , it seems she's so ambitious that she wants to make stars herself like she did to Du Juan at the very start of Vogue China, but to be honest if Carine Roitfeld didn't show up on the set of shooting-first-issue-VC, Du Juan defintely would not be that successful ,at least not that easy and quick, all Angelica Cheung-the EIC of Vogue China-did was picking some random models and introducing them to Carine, and Carine happened to fancy Du and the rest is history, but other girls that Angelica picked didnt have luck. The thing is Angelica thought that it is her who made history and she's gonna repeat it, but on the contrary she isn't that influential in the industry so now her model choices looks random and beyond expectations , I want to give her a free advice, that is face the truth and do something helpful to your magazine

If you wanna know how popular Sun Fei Fei and Liu Wen are in China , just check their Weibo accounts ,each has 2.6 millions and 4.4 millions fans following respectively , that's huge even for pop singer or movie star and in fact Sun's followers are much more than lots of movies stars in China
On the other hand, like you said Sun isn't a traditional beauty but it dosent affect her fan base increasing as long as she's successful

I heard somewhere before, Liu Wen and Fei Fei was the breakout star of some other magazine. The magazine picked up on them first before VC. I dont remember which one, maybe Elle?..so that could probably one of the reason why VC would rather use someone else.

I remember seeing Liu Wen a lot in Chinese Elle. But she is also in VC. I think Fei Fei is so beautiful and a lot of Chinese folks think so too so I wouldn't say she is not typical of their idea of beauty. Some of the girls Angelica chooses are very very strange in my opinion.

The poster above is right about Carine having a hand at Du Juan's success. Putting her on that cover of VP really set her career on fire considering she was with a middle agency in NYC at the time. Du Juan never won a Miss China contest, actually she never participated any beauty pageant , someone mustve confused her 2002 new silk road top model contest champion with Miss China , and back to 2005 ,among the models picked by Angelica , Anna Wong was expected to succeed more likely, at that moment a lot of chinese fashion editors prefer Eurasian look models like Anna ,but Anna never made it to the top after years of trying so she gave up and married
And speaking of Liu and Sun, just like FND74 said, Vogue China wasnt the first that discovered them, Liu Wen was promoted by Marie Claire because of Joseph Carle's recommendation, to Liu Wen ,Joseph's just like Carine ,he saw Liu s potential although Liu 's just there for another model's fitting( sometime before the shooting ,the dress fitting would be completed by other models as the featured models scedule conflicting ), and booked her for his next editorial , from then on , every Chinese fashion magazine began hiring her
