Fendi Menswear F/W 2024.25 Milan

Not to be rude to Fendi, but when I think of Fendi my mind really doesn't go Menswear at all even after all these years of looking at fashion. It's very contemporary catalogue which isn't a bad thing, but the point of it all I really think needs to be questioned. Not that the collections are that bad they just always seem like they're just there for the sake of being on the calendar.

Maybe stripping back and going to smaller collections to really present what the Fendi man is about would help. 57 looks are here and they're saying next to nothing.

These boxy silhouettes wear the models instead of the other way around, they simply lack the authority to make it work. Other than that it’s an ok proposition but it feels too labored/styled when IMO menswear can get away with being much simpler.

The outerwear is divine. That deep green leather Barbour-y jacket with contrasting collar, the long leather overcoat with leather buttons, the little reversible fur bomber... Very desirable.

It's a good collection, some felt very Prince Philip, which I enjoyed. She should have edited out some looks that don't make sense with the rest (that boxy leather vest, the looks with that duty-free Fendi scarf, that pink leather jacket, the last 3 looks...).

I actually quite enjoyed it! Even if it felt like it’s Brit-inspired. Love the music. And are those really skirts? I feel like they’re bermuda shorts made to look like skirts. I’d wear them with the exception of the boat shoes.
