Fendi S/S 2009 : Toni Garrn by Karl Lagerfeld

I like it! I think that the other pictures will be interesting.
Finally a new model, I agree with you ^

I didn't even read the title but as soon as I saw the picture I thought "karl must have something to do with this"

I love the simplicity but giant eww to the hair. (What's up with keeping the runway makeup and styling in campaigns anyway? Generally I don't mind this trend but when it comes to dragonball-z hair and pokemon belts...)

there's a DBZ movie coming out these days. IMO it all works out rather well

It bore me to tears...Toni looks good...but the hair is bad...

and Karl is recurring to this old ideas...I mean the granny house and the typical door shot for chanel and a cubic room with the seat...

although the Bag and the shoes are nice...but am I the only one who expect rich furs and leathers form Fendi???? I miss those these season.

I doubt this campaign will get any better. Bye! :ninja:

yea, it does look very boring..I'd like to see how the rest looks, though.

Toni is proving herself to be such an amateur model... it looks like whoever was behind the scenes like.. physically put her body into this pose... She looks so boring... Her face especially... it emotes nothing.

it is so different from the last campaign, but nice and Toni is very cute

Not sure how I feel about this ad yet ill have to wait to see more, Toni looks pretty but nothing grabs me about it, maybe with a more exciting outfit it will poo.

She's young and new(-ish), but she better start delivering soon, or the overexposure will be unbearable. I think she's a terrible miscast for Fendi anyway, far too young and blank-faced. But the model isn't the biggest problem with this campaign, it's pretty dull and uninspired in everything from composition to styling.
.

I have always imagined Fendi ads to be dynamic, like Angela circa 06'... this looks very dull, but Toni is a good choice for it.

This is much better than Hugo Boss.
Still, I find her expressionless. That same 'look' she has on every single shot of her.

The austerity is alienating; some happy medium between this ad's severity and last season's cluttered feel would be great. That said, this season already looks better than last.

Which delusional soul for responsible for convincing Karl that *that* hair was chic?

This is trying way too hard to be 'cool' and 'unique', I feel. In fact, its a little forced aesthetically too. The way the painting is 'casually' placed in the background, the chair etc etc.

I haven't liked a Fendi campaign since Carmen Kass was fronting the label!!

For me there is always something 'off' or missing from Fendi campaigns.

it looks different but maybe the model cannot deliver the best pose yet.
