Forever21

I bought these two dresses recently. I'm in love with them

so lately i've been noticing that forever21 and anthropologie are selling some of the same necklaces but at vastly different prices. this being an example of one.
forever21.com

i have seen both versions in a few of these instances and can tell no differences whatsoever. Do both stores get their pieces from the same manufacturer and just sell them at different prices, or is forever knocking off anthro?? Also, how does anthro get away with selling something for 38 while forever sells the same thing for 7??? Its just mind boggling! I bought a different necklace at forever a few years ago for about 7 dollars and about a year later anthro was selling the EXACT same thing for 120!

forever copies anthros designs. there are SO many law suits against forever for doing this, and not just with anthropologie.

F21 is not really my fav place to shop. I have found good "clubwear" tops before, but lately I don't have enough time to rummage through their racks because you could be there for hours!
Sometimes I find cute things there that I like but then I notice something about it that turns me off, like a lot of there stuff has polyester which to me is *blech* and they will add tacky belts for example to what would otherwise be a cute dress or shirt.

chaneladdict - i agree with you. i actually have a shirt from urban (a year or so ago) and i saw the same shirt in a different color for sale at forever and both tags were the exact same brand. i have actually noticed a few of the exact same items at both stores, of course with a higher price tag at urban.

Yeah! The only thing I did buy that day were three pairs of shorts which surprisingly came in size XS... I was going to get some nude gladiators as well (so cute) but my friend was holding them for me and I totally forgot about them. Oh well, I don't really *need* them... Haha, I'll probably end up buying them if I ever go back any time soon.

I also tried on some of their skinny jeans and they all fit really weird on me. Ugh, kind of like AE jeans. It's unfortunate because I really wanted some cheap jeans, you know? Why is a good pair of reasonably priced jeans so difficult to find?

My god, I JUST went there today and I had the same problem as you. I couldn't find what I was looking for (dark skinny jeans that fit) so I ended up getting a pair at Hollister >.> (much more expensive of courses)

ugh so annoying. the place a freaking mess and there were customers everywhere. the lines for both registers were so long (like it was christmas!) and so was the line for the dressing room. it seems like a lot of ppl shop there since it's so darn cheap. i think i'm sticking to the website from now on. much better esp since they started using models for their dresses... if only they could do that for all their clothes!!!!!!

idk, the place is messy, yes. But my main concern is still the fitting and cutting of the clothes, especially the pants, I HATE their cutting (if there's any). The price, though, is very very cheap.

I have, I think, two shirts from there. I love the choices, but for all things holy, ORGANIZE!

I have to remember not to take my ADD medication when I go there.

I think the online store is great, though because I'm not always in the States, shipping fees suck!

The Canadian website is definitely not as good as the American one. :( We definitely don't get the same variety in choices.

I can never just go into a Forever 21 without going online and knowing exactly what I want because the place is always such a mess. Also, the shortness on some of their dresses really bugs me. I'm not even that tall (5'7) but I wouldn't dare wear a lot of their dresses without tights at least.

I do like the slightly more expensive (but still really cheap :))Twelve by Twelve label. The clothes are generally of slightly better quality and I find the fit is more uniform.

Ugh, Miss Mod, I agree! I'm a couple inches taller but even thinking about wearing their dresses is impossible. I've tried some on in the past but have given up.

And I agree about the Twelve by Twelve line as well, I just bought a shirt from them last night.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I live in SF and our F21 is 3 floors and right around Union Square so all the tourists come in and it's always so crowded (with people and clothes!)--can't walk in there without having to dart out of people's way or trying not to shove people around. Though I've found that on certain days in the evening an hour before closing time, the store's virtually empty and I can browse and shop with ease--so nice!

Yes, what is it with their short dresses always being a bit too short, and their maxi dresses being a bit too long? I'm 5'8", and find their mini-dresses are a bit too revealing, but slip on a maxi dress, in the smallest size, and find it drags across the floor...I'm above average height, most girls I know are about 5'2"-5'5", if they're too long for me at 5'8", how do they except girls with an average height to pull them off? Guess they're were made for the 6 foot and over crowd.

Oh and I agree about Twelve by Twelve, like quite a few of their pieces, and they do seem to be better quality than some of the regular Forever 21 stuff. ;)

Ugh. Reminds me of when I was living in NYC, and made the mistake of walking into the Forever 21, on I think it was 34th street, though can't really remember...I had to get out, fast, it was the middle of the day, on I believe, a Saturday, nonetheless, and I nearly suffocated to death in the pressing throngs of people, whilst tripping over all the scatterings of clothes across the floor.

I shop online their chain is a disaster in person, from clueless overly trendy sales girls to obnoxious customers fighting to get in line or in a dressing room. And nothing is ever in order.

SHOP online, way better!

mousquerader- yeah i always look forward to going to union square to do some shopping at forever 21 but it always turns out to be an annoying trip in and out with nothing, haha! online is so much better...

so i got my silk top and it's beautiful, except i thought it was a more subtle orange color and it's a brighter orange. still gorgeous though. their denim shorts are great too but i'm a size 26 and i always have to order a size 28 if anyone was interested..

I feel like this is a really stupid question, but... Does "Forever 21" have anything to with "Forever 18"? Because we these shops over here.
