franz ferdinand-new album released...

it was released in the US yesterday...

i have it on good authority that it is excellent... ;)

has anybody got it and would anyone care to do a review of sorts?...

B) ... :flower:

i didn't get it yesterday cuz i was in school all day, but i plan on getting it today!!!! i loveeeeeeeeee franz! their new video is hilarious!!!! dance sequence! haha. did u see it softgrey?

I have it - brilliant (well what I've listened to so far, which is not all of it). THe first song is an absolutel stomper!!! Yuo need to get it softgrey

I meant to buy it the day it came out, I can't believe I forgot!

(*runs out door to local music shop*)

Sounded like eine kleine yuppy-musik to me. I heard it on pirate though...

Just got back from Target, am listening to it now.

I like the song I'm listening to now- The Fallen

I love the Franz Ferdinand as well  :D

Would you say it's better, as good or not as good as their first record? I mean it'd be pretty hard to top that first one which was genious!

Hmm...raijin tells me he's not really feelin it, so I am kind of hesitant to buy this. I'd like to know how it compares to the self-titled album as well, that one was not bad.

I love Do You Want To, Eleanor Put Your Boots Back On (very Beatles-sounding...), and Evil and a Heathen but the rest? Meh... complete filler. I'm glad I just borrowed it from a friend because I won't be buying it... I read a review agreeing that you really could have it so much better... as the title suggests.

Thanks for the heads up, Cosette. You seem like you have an exquisite taste in music, so I'll trust you and skip this album.

just noticed the first album was produced by Tore Johansson who is behind Cardigans, Bonnie Pink, etc.
this album seems to be by Rich Costey.

Hmm... probably just as good.

The Fallen
Do You Want To
Walk Away
Evil and A Heathen

... those are my favorites right now, I haven't really listened to the second half of the CD much yet.

I was going to buy it in HMV today, but for £12.99 Franz Ferdinand can go stick it. I bought their first album and Electric Ladyland instead (and for the same price).

I went to their album launch signing at HMV on Tuesday. Alex was really sweet and friendly, the other three seemed a bit bored. Oh well, I had a fab time!

Haven't really had a chance to listen to the whole CD though, due to my love for "Do You Want To," "Walk Away," "The Fallen," and "Eleanor Put Your Boots On."
