When you need to use the 411 / information option, simply dial

1-800-FREE-411

or

1-800-373-3411

without incurring a charge at all except for the minutes required to make the call.

This is information people don't mind receiving

Gracias....I make TONS of 411 calls because of spontaneous plans so I'll find this really useful

Directory Assistance. An operator assisted phonebook. I'm sure BT has the same type of thing, but it may be different digits, like 999 for emergencies instead of 911 in the US.

Looks like 118500* may be the BT cellphone version of 411; not sure though.
