I love French and Saunders!! Too bad it never caught on in America. I love the chemistry between Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in Ab Fab, but it's not quite as infectious as this duo.

I don't think they intend to do anymore of their shows but will still write together. They are so funny and Jenifer somehow manages to look spookily like the famous people she plays.

Good news. Fox passed on the pilot so it's not happening. Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun) who was going to be Patsy is going to be on Ugly Betty so I think it's safe to assume no other network will pick it up.

label basher,that is a good thing to hear. i don't think there's anything worse than an american re-make of a british programme. because 9/10 times it usually ends in disaster. besides,what's so wrong with the original in the first place? i never understand why arrogant hollywood feels the need....like they have to do up a show....and we all know they're never better at all. and i don't even like the american version of the office....as popular as it is,i would never go so far to say it's better than the original.

another show they tried(also on fox)was the vicar of dibley which was being produced by frasier stars jane leeves and peri gilpin's company. kirstie alley was supposed to play dawn's role. although not french & saunders production,i don't think anyone could equal that programme either.

northern star,jennifer is genius...the madonna parody,anyone? i mean come on,that's just spot on. aren't they now just concentrating on producing and writing jam and jerusalem and possibly other series like it?
