Romy is worshipped in France and played in a lot of french movies but she wasn't a french actress. She was german.
It would be like calling Monica Bellucci a french actress I think.

I like Ludivine Sagnier and Virginie Ledoyen a lot, but my favourite is Romy who IMO is somehow a french actress, too, as in Germany she'll always be only "Sissy".
