There is an article from norwegian tv network NRK today, where it says that Frida has booked one of H&M's global fall campaigns. That's great news. It also says that she will be focusing primarily on school for the next year, among other things.

Any guesses on if and where Frida will show her self on the runway in New York? I really hope for her sake she atleast books a handful of quality shows.

Seventeen year old Norwegian Frida Aasen is one model that I have been on the look out for since my arrival in New York last Friday. Aasen has made a few very select runway appearances most notably for Prada, Loewe and Louis Vuitton at the Spring/Summer 2012 collections and at Fendi, Blumarine and Just Cavalli at the Fall/Winter 2012 collections in February. The industry interest in the doe-eyed luminescent beauty has been fuelled by Aasen's agents at Women Model Management with carefully placed editorial appearances in publications such as Dazed & Confused, V Magazine, Love, Self Service and the preview of Caroline Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book. Aasen's Fall/Winter 2012 DSquared campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott ensures that the newcomer will be on every notable casting director's must see list this season. When I spotted Aasen in the Meat Packing district, I seized the moment and requested the following shot below. It was a delight to meet Aasen whilst scouting the streets of New York, and she turned out to be as sweet and personable as she was beautiful.

Well, we know for a fact that she has been doing casting rounds and that she's in New York, and I refuse to believe that she hasn't been able to book a single show of any kind for 3 whole days, so I'm counting on there something we don't know about. Considering her history with Louis Vuitton and her appearance with Marc Jacobs in Le Figaro last season, I'm thinking a Marc Jacobs exclusive of some sort is most likely.

The only other explanation I can think of that would explain her absence is that she has only been booking smaller shows, and that her agents has chosen to turn them down. The wait is killing me.
