i know this is a trendy trend.... but i can't stand it!! i can't get my thoughts away from cheesy fringed western jackets - despite looking at all the pics in this thread.
surely it can't have much life left in it, i can't wait till it goes away!
I've seen these on numerous ocassionals while shopping, and each time it's the same ritual of examining the dress, holding it, rotating it from all angles and finally deciding against it. It's not that I don't like them, per se (as shown by my repeated consideration)... I'd prefer an authentic, vintage flapper dress, but any dress in decent condition from the 1920s would not only cost a fortune, but probably begin the disintegration process immediately, when worn.
To be honest, I never really get excited seeing fringe. I wouldn't recommend an outfit either with fringes or having multiple fringe garments or accessories. I don't hate fringe... just that I'm not overly excited about fringed garments or accessories. It's a big time detail among the Bohemian set.
Lately, I've been seeing a lot of fringe skirts being worn by fashionistas online. I am still not crazy over fringe, but fringe details can provide a fun touch to skirts. Haven't seen too many fringe dresses, but they are just as trendy lately.
i am really still into chunky knits with random fringe inserts...
that is what i am craving...
on another note...
i am also considering adding some fringe to some sandals for summer...
*maybe even fringe (blk suede) + pom poms (natural raffia)...
we shall see...
marni...
these actually make me kinda crazy...
they seem like they would go with all my summer looks...
looking cool and comfy all at once...
fringe/kiltie...
but the price is ...
$850 is just too much...!!!
it's a sandal, not a boot!!!... ...... farfetch
Nice! I just found one at Mark and Estel. They have a half off sale this weekend with code 50MEL. I think Nasty Gal has one too but I'm a coupons girl lol
I love the fringe and gladiator/fringe trend. You wanted pics so these are my faves:
Stuart Weitzman on Amazon for $485
Mark and Estel on sale from $135 to $99 (they will do another half off with code 50MEL)
NastyGal for $130 but they will give you free shipping
As far as bags go, I just bought this pink fringe bag at a little import place downtown. It's suede and I'm obsessed. (I forget the name of the store sorry!)
