thanks perle - I have always quite liked Future Classics. I like the tops but not the bottoms..... Not keen on the way its been styled. It would be better slightly more slick I think. I love that little cardigan.

edit: I LOVE that last all black outfit! ^^^

I'm not sure they realize there is material out there other than grey sweatshirt/sweatpant material. SO many of their outfits are made out of it. That said, somethign about their clothes does draw me in (except not that hideous yellow skirt which is a shape they've been doing for awhile). They do cool stuff, but there is nothing new there.

meg I agree on the yellow - yellow keeps popping up for next spring. Thats a pity.

i usually like future classics too, but they are not really doing anything new. i like the colors, although it is a peculiar shade of yellow (maybe it's just my computer screen, but it doesn't seem like it would flatter anyone's tones). the first two images in post two are the most interesting. the second reminds me of junya a lot. i like it anyway.

^^^ I know what you mean SoS but I just like that they do their quirky jersey pieces.....like a signature. there is def a lot of japanese influence here.

i almost like it....but its too sloppy....
not enough restraint, i dont think.....

it has potential i think....but it looks like they got carried away with things hanging and falling a certain way....and it just looks messy and unflattering....

the grey dress in post #3 for example.....i love the neckline and the way its shaped....until you reach just below the waist and it starts to look like cinderella's rags......why not control some of those 'flapping' pieces of fabric?....its a shame really, imo...

:ermm:

I hope this is a future I won't live to see.

It's not new, it's not original...but it works...and looks good...I don't mind the grey...but it is a bit dull for spring...however I do like the cuts...I don't know a lot about this label...can someone fill me in on the fundamentals please :)

I would have died and gone to heaven seeing these clothes...last spring/summer! Preen was doing a much tighter version a year ago. Don't get me wrong, I do like them much better than the "lady" stuff, but I already have a few similar deconstructed pieces in my wardrobe, and have been wearing them this summer.I'm wondering how much more I can stomach for another year, and beginning to wonder if this is going to become a cliche...

not feeling this, just one or two pieces are appealing to me......guess it's not really my cup of tea.....

Like it, like it a lot! Love the last outfit in post #2 Thanks for posting perlefine! :flower:

agreed with helena, their tops seem much better than their skirt pieces

as for grey, i really like it for spring, same goes for yellow which has finally 'arrived' thanks to those past Marni effords
quite an interesting collection and such a catchy little name

thanks for the topic perlefine :flower:
