This is the review of the show as seen on fuk.co.uk:

After a season away from the London catwalks, Julie Wilkins' Future Classics label is back and the return was very well-received. This is a focused womenswear collection which incorporates casual, ultra wearable pieces with bold statements in colour and print.

The prints are strong and start with technicolour circles, which evolve into abstract less-defined shapes before breaking into striking exotic florals. As the designer told us, many "came about as accidents, which is the way I like to work!"

Soft jersey tops with double vertical front pouch pockets are beautifully modernist, chiffon blouses are teamed with black leather mini skrts while simple fitted dresses feature big zips and zip panels.

Ruched and draped jersey pieces really do reflect the classic intentions of this label and much of this collection is so utterly instantly wearable it's evident that it could appeal to a broad audience: alongside tunic frocks that are futuristic but not scary, breezy asymmetric shirts and delectable double-fronted blouses there are harder-edged garments in black leather, corset references and safety harnesses built into skirts, tops and dresses.
In the main the colour palette is quite muted with olive green, white, black punctuated with pump-up-the-volume shades of orange, pink and (not our most favourite) mustard yellow.

Big shout to the accessories - Future Classics has successfully rebirthed bumbags into body bags and also offers cool large-as-life clutch bags.

i really love the first set posted, and that yellow dress in the last set.....overall, a really good collection!

I'm usually a big fan of Future Classics - their stuff is quite affordable and very wearable. I'm not really feeling the floral prints they've used and some of the detailing is unnecessarily bondage-esque for no reason. I like the simply draped beige pieces though.

Their clothes are really great for basics with a twist... I really like what they do most of the times... I have a couple of pieces by them and they work amazingly well combined with my Ann D. pieces...

This one looks like a crack addict with a knife hidden in her hospital gown, ready to take it out and shank the orderly, so she can escape and get more of that precious, precious crack.

I'm dreading your thoughts on Gareth Pugh...

BUT! I can see your point...

I was commenting more on the model's look of evil malnourishment and the unfortunate camera angle/moment that captured it so well. But I can't say I'm fond of the pointlessly droopy dress, either.

adorable colours, shapes and bags..
i even love the prints, both tiny and blown up
London seems quite 'alive' and so not-Chloe influenced

I agree with you Lena... I too love the shapes and I like what they did with the leather... especially the skirt outfit... I'd easily wear that (if the weather allowed me)!
