Gary Graham F/W 14.15 New York

Not feeling this at all. A lot of the silhouettes don't make sense to me. These two looks are really bad: 1, 2. The zipper placements seem so random and the whole thing is not in line with what he usually does. Also not a fan of the patterns and the shiny fabrics.

I do like this black knit outfit: 3

Thanks for posting, I always look forward to seeing Gary's collections ^_^

there are some very good pieces in there...
i could pull that apart and make it work a lot better...
i'd even wear a few pieces myself...

I'm always a big fan of his subtle prints and use of texture, but I'm not a huge fan of the shapes he created in this collection. That might just be styling though, because there are a lot of very pretty stand alone pieces.

I agree. Reading the comments before looking at the images had me a bit scared but looking over it all I am very much pleased. The styling is over the top like expected and rarely does the clothes justice. Look 5 is a perfect example, I am sure it is nice when pulled apart piece by piece. So I love it!

So reminiscent of Dries. Too forceful styling but I can see the potential when picked apart and reassembled.

I agree! there are some fantastic pieces there. I like the jackets or coats mostly and the nice pair of herringbone pants. there is an almost romantic worn shoe look to everything...which is nice. I really really appreciate the imagination and thought that is gone into this.

I quite like the essence of this collection, it's cohesive and wearable. The color palette are great as well.

I think the styling is the issue with a lot of the looks. It's layered and styled too heavily in some looks while it looks quite effortless in others. I do love the 4th look in post #2.

yeah i agree with softie on this one too…the styling really overwhelms everything. which really surprises me because gary is typically very strong in that area in that he can create cohesive narrative but you also get a sense of the pieces as well.

Definitely there are pieces I like here - some aspects even remind me of Suno.
But a big no to those hairy tapestry platforms!
