Gary Graham S/S 06 New York

Dear Cerfas,
Thank you so much for your so very polite, far more that I was I fear, reply----I do see your point but I am having trouble figuring out why we must bother giving any more time to this bunch.
I checked your "public profile" and I was interested to note that we are about the same age and share many tastes, what's more several of the names on your lists of favorites are mine as well. Anyway, I am just blabbing now, thanks again...Go Girl!

Cerfas, nice additions! I have to say it's kind of that combination of what Robert Cary and John Rocha does.

Definitely agree with you on your assesment of his evolution. Although,I'd count A/W too-there was something really different about that in comparison with his former works. I never liked Gary Graham before....it was just too cheesily trendy and lacklustre to me for it to be some interesting experimental indie everybody always dubbed him(and Liz Collins who he's friends with)to be. Now he seems to be changing quite alot.

thanks for posting this stuff, cerfas...i really love these pieces! i love the hair detailing a lot...that bit of shading at the hairline is beautiful.

I think it is a well put together collection. It has a focus. The colors are not for everybody but they are rather sophisticated and the fabrics imo
are really nice and charming.

Appreciating creativity is very subjective as we know.

No problem, Claudia. I often make really quick decisions about what I like and what I dismiss, so I don't think that was wrong of you. Sometimes it's nice to hear a little history of what something is about, see where it came from. Sometimes you find reasons to like it more, and sometimes not...sometimes you even like it less! :D

Scott, ooh yeah I see the Robert Cary Williams connex. I think the firstview photos do a little better job of showing the texture and materials and details. It's weird, I feel conflicted about this collection...I like it and yet there's something really LA-y about it that kind of goes against my taste. Lik ea bunch of other people have said, when it comes right down to it, it's probably the colors that do that for me.

You're welcome, francesca!

Right on, clay :)
