german amica, july 2005

^well i think it is, if you compare it to what it used to look like:p

I like the cover. Maria Carla looks very fresh, and the cover itself looks more artsy than fashiony.

I also noticed the change in Amica (german edition) look...I received it as voucher copy (because the agency I work in planned some ad on Amica germany for an italian shoes producer), and noticed the change of layout and page format (smaller).
The lettering is lighter and in the issue i received the letter was printed with silver (reflecting) ink.
Undoubtedly more "classy"...I would like to know what's behind this change...a change of positioning of the magazine? (I mean, a change of target group addressed by the magazine...).
Bye,
Sebastiano

^ yes.

^^glicogeno, i think the burda group bought amica from gruner+jahr(?) and now they are trying to give it a make over, hiring new people etc...
it probably didn't sell too well so far...

Thanks for you explanation, I agree with you, maybe sales were falling down and they are trying a repositioning...at least concerning graphic layout, more similar to magazines like Vanity Fair.
Bye,
Sebastiano

...but where can I get it?

I just got back from Germany and Amica really caught my eye. I thought that the photo editorals were really lovely as well. Does anyone know where I can acess those images online?

Thanks!

You can try looking at Amica DE website, if you can read german:
