Gharani Strok Fall/Winter 05/06 London

The girls at Gharani Strok are just lovely This is a much stronger, "proper" collection than their past shows I think...Nothing groundbreaking, but nice all the same - None of the whimsical, floral, floaty chiffons and lots more solid pieces.

There have been no pieces in earlier collections I could wear, but I know there are a few of these looks I'd be happy to own (sans hats!)

Cute collection, love that last look with the flower prints....the models seem to be superskinny though

And I don't like the use of furs...Julien MacDonald really pulled me out of my pro-fur phase again

^^ with regards to the fur thing....I think it's a sad fact that for a designer to be considered a big-player with a "Luxurious" collection it is a must to be included in winter.

A country like Italy has hundreds of independent boutiques, and to maintain high sales you have to keep the buyers happy....it will be a long time before fur is deemed undesirable there.

I've never seen Gharani Strok use fur before, but I think this will be their biggest selling collection to date.

I hate fur, but it seems it will continue being a trend for next winter.
Why several designers love fur? I don't think it's as stylish as some people think.

The prints are lovely... The colors strongly reminded me of "rich thick cream" in coffee for some reason.

whoah, i totally noticed that too... maybe its the photographs? but those models look horribly sickly thin
