Giambattista Valli S/S 2020 Paris

Why the need to add a ruffle or bow to every nook and cranny.

It's downright distracting and ugly. This is one of his worst showings. Most of this is downright ugly.

To be honest. I think most of these dresses border on infantile. What self respecting person would wear these dresses? It’s like a 4 year old child drew a dress. It’s also not cool in that kinderwhore / Courtney love way.
Terrible.

there are some beautiful ones, loved the presentation of this show and the music but a lot is a bit same old same old. i like it when he does more casual stuff for his rtw.

You could compile this collection with about half of all the other shows seen so far this season and it would all look like one endless stream of ruffles and flounces and chiffon and lace and bows and ditsy florals and princess dresses...

What a joke this industry is.

I just don’t get Valli anymore...
His clientele is composed of young socialites, party girls...I mean grown women. But he does those cute clothes...
It’s so sugary that it becomes annoying!!
I remember so well when we though he was a star in a making when he left Ungaro...
Then we all believed he was the new Valentino...

Sad ruffles and even sadder arm puffs. The whole collection look like it got wet and wrinkled and they dried it and put it on the runway. Everything seems deflated.

I was hoping the not see any high-low ruffle mosters at the beginning of the show. Yet, here we are. His vocabulary is so limited I just can't.
