The finale gowns (not above) are rip offs of Alexander McQueen, Viktor & Rolf and Monique Lhuillier

^ well i don't think any designer would ever copy Monique Lhuillier, because she herself copies the work of every other designer out there, as for this coolection i found it really underwhelming, i expected much more

weak by his standards ! there was nothing with a wow factor for me, it's tooooo delicate this time!

Sometimes his HC work looks quite amateur to me.

^^
Totally! I was looking again at his RTW spring 2009 and it looked more Couture than that (some pieces were actually "Couture").

I have a big problem with Giambattista Valli. I feel like everytime, he wants to show us that he knows the techniques and the Art of Haute Couture.
Of course, there are some beautiful pieces like the second dress, the white dress with the ruffled collar and the ruffles on each side and the exquisite coats but the rest is too much.
Chiffon, ruffles, drapés, plissés...All in one dress and then, at the end the dresses are like giant cake with a lot of butter.

He needs to go back to what he did with his first 2 Couture collections. It was great, opulent, vibrant and controlled.

The last gowns are very similar, was it S/S 2015 ,the pink gown which Rihanna wore for some important event? The final gowns looking like replicas from his last Couture collection, only in another colours.
Yes, his r-t-w is more couture that this collection. It is not his best collection. Not bad but it is not his best.

He sure knows how to stick to a look, it's an okay HC collection but I expected more from him.

IMO it's definitely a beautiful collection.
But i can't say i'm impressed because it's always the same thing.

There is very good pieces on this collection, some of it make think of Dior by Raf. I wish the last two dresses were full skirt, i have never been into that asimetric cut... It looks cheap to me

i'm a bit over his use of flowers like this

he needs to go back to using more colour

Clean & safe. That's the only thing about this collection. Is it pretty? Yes, for sure. But somehow it's not strong.
