Gigi and Bella never seem to do very well in Paris, relative to NY and Milan, and I wonder why. I mean, Bella just screams celebrity model, so I get why Paris shuns her, but Gigi seems famous enough and modelesque enough that she'd be a star in Paris too ATM.

Well, most of the shows they do are cast by Piergiorgo, and his power is more limited in Paris.
Gigi has Marant, and Bella will do Off-White. I don't think Karl cares much for them, at least not for Chanel.

She wasn't at Isabel Marant, I think that's maybe the first time since she started walking the show? I highly doubt she and Bella will be at Balmain, Olivier dropped them many seasons ago, and probably not Givenchy either. I can only think of them maybe showing up at Chanel, and only because Karl used them for the Cruise 2019 show, they haven't done S/S or F/W Chanel in quite a few seasons.

Gosh there's nothing like Paris Fashion Week rolling around to make Gigi seem like trash. In some ways she really is "the biggest thing in modelling at the moment", but to have your successful fashion week cut off every season in the same city? Morgane07 you may be right with the "today's Paris Hilton" image in France, because clearly somethings happening.

I don't mind Gigi but she's never been a great model. She's tall and pretty but that's about it. She doesn't have a great range - she's mainly great at the baby doll Bardot look.
She's had the same hair color and hairstyle for so many years - I'd switch it up if I were here, I'd cut it and colour it.

It's funny how the absence of Gigi, Bella and Kendall in Paris went completely under the radar. Usually there are a few articles when the biggest models skip PFW. Kendall usually gets a bunch of articles about it.

Its not just PFW, I noticed neither of them have been getting many covers and campaigns lately. I think the industry is getting bored of them due to overexposure (same for Kendall). It was inevitable though, models can't be at the top forever. Kaia might be having a moment right now, but it will slow down for her too eventually. It is what it is.
