I must confess that I'm a bit disappointed. The first part is absolutely gorgeous but it goes a bit downhill with the purple dresses. I think this collection would be perfect without the "mouth" part... it's a bit misplaced.
I do love the bat dresses too (all of them).

I loved the beginning prints especially the Kate print dresses. Not so keen on the last few looks though. Lol at the thing hanging off Cara's head, reminds me of a Halloween costume.

I loved those pictures of Kate, that's really the only element of the collection I like. Are they wearing Adidas? btw.

I was hoping for something fresh, this seems like a repeat of the two latest collections mixed together. Great cast though!

I really dislike the photograph prints; who wants to wear photos of models on a nice dress? Not moi anyhow - too simulacra-ish and strangely fetishistic,too, as though Kate is a new Saint or something. Sigh.... I really dislike the lips section too; it seemed redundant. Lip prints have been done to death, by Prada (or was it Miu Miu?), Marc by Marc, etc.

However, the bat prints and the extrapolation of those bats transformed into wildly shaped gowns and hats at the end of the show is more the kind of thing I like from Giles: gothic romanticism is his best trope, better than kitchy imo. (I still love the "burnt" collection from a few seasons ago...).

THis is terrible. Even the amazing Glen Luchford couldn't save this outing. I guess they've jumped on the graphics bandwagon to ensure profits rather than actually design clothes-- which I always thought hey were quite great at. Too bad.

Those prints are so Givenchy's Madonna-esque, it's quite shameful. And I'm with you Jane-- who wants to wear a print of Kate? Seriously, I'd really like to know... The lips are beyond redundant at this point; Yeah, Miuccia did it-- and did it quite well ten years ago, and now "lips" have become more of a streetstyle-fodder than fresh. Maybe they're targeting the streetstyle clientele now? The end is very student-project verging on Halloween costumes. Everything shown here is stale-- which is not something I had associated with the Giles label.

The only piece i like is the black tubular leather(?) bustier/ obi. That's it.

Hate to say but it's very hit and miss.
I love Giles Decon but I'm not really feeling it.

I wouldn't wear the photograph prints, but I do love how they look in the first part of the collection but then BOOM suddenly it's mouth prints and it all goes completely downhill for me.

I am in LOVE with the dress with the print of the girl smoking that Julia walks out in. The long dress with the photo of Kate is nice. Not a fan of the lip prints.
