Being a lowly nobody that must traverse amongst the commoners, that royal blue just screams Walmart, while the iridescence jewel tones just shouts Pokemon Prismatic. Demna would troll with this sort of consumer cheapness in high fashion, but for someone like Gio, he’s all serious of its beauty since he would likely have no clue of Walmart’s signature blue nor prismatic/cotton candy/rainbow iridescence being a Pokemon card signature. It's genuinely charming without a whiff of trolling.
Once it all gets back to shimmering, dazzling, cascading neutrals, silvers/golds, and all-black, it’s more classic Armani Privé comforting. Clearly he designs for his loyal faithfuls, rather than design for social or to push fragrances, and that includes his guests seated at the shows: Doesn’t look to have a plague of influencers/Instacelebs/paid ambassadors amongst the bunch. And I’m just glad he’s allowed us a peek into his very real but enclosed, rarified, privileged world.
