Givenchy Menswear S/S 2024 Paris

It wasn't THAT bad, but of course Williams had to pollute the collection with his usual streetwear mess, which, again, looked like an absolute nonsense because of the styling. I'd say, it's too little too late for him at Givenchy. Can't wait to see him out, it's been too long already.

Fabulous venue.
Matthew is probably the luckiest man in the world. He has been able to be mediocre all along, with a fairly comfortable budget and do his thing. His contract will end and he will leave with a little bit more money on his account…

‘The jumpsuits at the end were good.

I jumped four minutes in and thought "that's a slightly odd look for the runway" but nope, it's just Jared Leto arriving draped in the corpses of a thousand woodland animals. (Somebody tell me that jacket came from a brand that stopped using fur!)

This is quite an incoherent collection. It is probably closer to something one might see at NYFW, but certainly not Paris and certainly not at Givenchy.

It's not bad, minus some of the streetwear items. It just doesn't really have any soul or an coherent message and leaves you feeling no emotions. it's hard to believe a LVMH house is struggling this badly out in public.

Will this be his last collection? His three year contract is up for renewal about now right?

It's probably the best - meaning the least useless - collection MMW has ever designed for the brand.
Now that Stefano Pilati is pushed so hard by Pharrell Williams, I think I would like to see him taking the helm at Givenchy.

So much for the contract ending in June... Unless it was renewed???
