That floor lenght grey coat with the high neck in post #3 is perfection!!!. I love this overall. Maybe even more than the main Fall 06 collection. It seems like Tisci is a perfect fit at Givenchy!

Its sleek, but very strict. The shapes feel 2 dimensional. It is fresh however, and well tailored.

I'm bored with Tisci, he just seems to be using the same formula with slight variations in fabric and details for each collection.

Pre-collections are often the bread and butter of houses these days and designers like Ghesguiere and Theyskens have mentioned enjoying the designing of them in particular. Runway collections are often in collaboration with external stylists and directors, so they can often leave less control in the end.
