Hope nobody has started a similar thread...I searched and didn't find any...so here it is...

(If it already exists...please feel free to delete or merge...)

I really like this look and seen a lot of in shows of Fall2006... Shorter dresses with opened sholders...and gloves...

Looks great, but I'm not sure how practical it is? Summer dress with gloves could be a bit hot...

I think the leather is too heavy with a mini dress... anyone else think the same :flower:

I agree...it might not be practical...but when I see a gorgeous combination that I love...I don't even think about practical side...

It's something like a minidress with boots...which was also a trend that I loved.

The gloves give the look a kick...if I may say that...

It may look elegant and rebellious at the same time...depends how you wear it.

This looks amazing! I just don't know how practical it is. Gloves are definately classy....

Indeed very classy, reminds me so much of Holly Golighty (which is a really good thing).

honestly the trend is just gloves...

LOTS and LOTS of gloves for fall...;)
*but it's a runway trend...
i seriously doubt you will see this on the street....
and it would look pretty silly if you did...imho...:p

Yeah...I know it's not only dresses with gloves...but many many other stuff too...but that's not very original...we all saw it before...and it didn't amaze me... I loved this look...opened sholders with gloves...just sooooooo wrong...

That's what I love about it...it's just wrong...not practical at all... but I would love to see someone on a street using this trend.

Some more... Hope I'm not too annoying...

I should change the name of the thread to "Gloves with (mini-)dresses"...

leather gloves with minidress

I adore the look and find it sexy yet refined. I actually think I would wear that look on the street (I'm looking at vintage leather gloves on ebay right now), but hey thats just me! ;)

agree with softgrey about it looking weird in the streets.. but it looks great on the runway

and to wear handgloves is too michael jackson-y in real life imo

I love this look, I think I might wear this look to the street, but it's not practical once you get inside and have to write and do stuff.

I think so too. It's interesting & different, but I think it'd be kind of hard for someone to pull it off as an everyday look

^well, I think that's why the title of the thread says mini-dresses, it gives you a hint this will work only for a night out.

i love it!.

I think you can definitely make it work by wearing a pair of jeans under the dress for day.

gosh...i love this look..maybe not so so classy..but i can imagine wearing a dress and gloves

but the thing is..i hate gloves..i hate wearing them i mean..my hands dont like gloves

but arm warmers are a good alternative

I want to try it with a cocktail dress at night  i guess it depends on if the material marries well with my dress :brows:
