Good Cashmere

Bought a Iris and Ink cashmere sweater from the outnet. 4 days later and it is ruined beyond repair. The threads are so tiny I can't fix the huge mysterious snag that has appeared on the chest. It was too thin and delicate.

If you are looking for Good Cashmere I suggest looking elsewhere...

Yikes! Definitely contact their customer service! THey should take it back if it's falling apart...
That's crazy.

^They have offered to take it back. Their service is really great.

I was so happy with the quality of their silk shirts, I just assumed their cashmere would be the same. When unwrapped it, I instantly noticed that it felt more like a thin merino wool. Very soft, but so sheer.

Maybe I just was really unlucky...

yeah, that could be the case...

I would definitely just send it back and be done with it.

Hi, I am someone who really loves cashemere, but lately I find a little too hard to find good quality cashmere, that lasts trough the years and stays well compact (I don't know how to say it in english but I just hate wool that looses little balls of material). I think Malo used to be great quality, but it's not like that anymore. Do you know a brand you could suggest? As I will be in London quite soon, I would be happy if someone could suggest me a shop where that sells a good cashmere. What about Brora Cashmere? Do some of you knit cashmere? I do, and I personally suggest Cardiff Cashmere, a brand I can easily found in Italy, but that could be hard to find anywhere else. Thanks, Elsa
I totally get what you mean — finding good cashmere these days feels like a bit of a hunt.
A lot of brands chase softness now, and that super-fluffy feel usually means the fibers were over-processed and won’t hold up long.
Brora’s nice and cozy, but if you want that denser old-school quality, Scottish makers like Johnstons or William Lockie are still doing it right.
And I agree — Cardiff yarn has that slightly dry, crisp hand that actually gets better with wear.
