^I hope its comes out in Australia too. Although Im sure it wouldnt be as good as the books.
I know the books arent exactly a heavy or serious read, but I do love them. I find them really funny and witty. The parts I like the best are often Blairs narration and outlook on certain senarios. I think the cleverness and humor would be lost on tv.

According to EW, Gossip Girl is likely to get picked up by The CW for fall!!

In many ways, it seems like the CW will have to start over come September: Only America's Next Top Model, Beauty and the Geek, Smallville, and a couple of comedies are shoo-ins for renewal. (A plan to revamp Veronica Mars by making her a fledgling recruit in the FBI academy is a long-shot.) However, the network has a stronger roster of potentials than it did a year ago. Likely new programs include a drama based on the best-selling book Gossip Girl, a dramedy called Reaper, about a 21-year-old bounty hunter for the devil, and the provocative sitcom Aliens in America, about a Pakistani exchange student who moves in with a goofy high schooler in Wisconsin.

Same. I stopped after Cecily stopped writing them herself. They got really downhill from there...

I guess if CW picks it up, it will air in the fall season for the US. And I'm sure once it airs it will be put on youtube or a site like that

aww, I went to school w/ Blake, it's so funny to see her all dolled up in couture like that !! congrats to her, I heard rumors she got it but I didn't know if they were true or not. I think she'll do a good job as Serena.
