Gossip Girl (TV Series)

That's got to be the biggest LIE ever. You know that they all worship the GG cast.

Not sure about that. Remember, these kids have a different grip on reality than we do. They likely judge the show based upon their lives and activities more closely than most of us do. Some of the drama of GG is that the characters actually have feelings and care. I am not so sure with this cast.

^I know that's true. I just refuse to believe that there are people out there who hate gossip girl, especially KIDS (cause they are kids and not little adults) like them whose biggest problem is that they don't know what to say to people other than "my mom has never worked and never had to" and "I have a credit card and don't know how much I spend" or whose biggest accomplishment is hooking up with the hottest "chick" they can find so they can brag about it to their buddies at clubs over some classy alcoholic drink that they procured with their totally exclusive and elusive fake ID.

“it’s good to be perceived as having money.”
“we’re the elite of the elite.”

 .......................... Just when i thought i couldn't be more disgusted...
I'm lucky enough to have grown up in pretty wealthy environment, most of my friends did too but i've never heard ANYONE around me at any age saying such DUMB things. Gosh, i really hope this was scripted...

Those pictures got me interested. Now I can't wait to see the season premiere. :D

i feel like they're going to make this show seem really, really close to gossip girl just so we all think people live their lives exactly like blair, serena, chuck, etc.

I was flipping through a bussiness magazine (BRW) and it was a special edition of the 200 richest people in Australia. One of the people named in that list was Charles Bass. lol

Chuck: if I knew his name, I'd kill him.
Nate: Because you kill people now? What, you gonna hunt him down with your scarf?
Chuck: Don't mock the scarf, Nathaniel. It's my signature.

Dan: i need to get out of my comfort zone, try new things.
Chuck: Are you gay?

Eric: Does this feel like a sitcom to anyone else?
Dan: More like a reality show.
Chuck: Then I can vote you off.

Nate: She's right Serena, I mean none of us are saints.
Blair: [points at Chuck] Yeah, I had sex with him in the back of a limo.
Chuck: Several times.
Nate: I had sex with you, at a wedding while I was her date. [looks at Chuck] Once.
Blair: [looks at Chuck]
Chuck: I'm Chuck Bass!

I'm seriously hoping I'm not the only one that isn't excited about "NYC prep". It looks so FAKE! Like FAKE FAKE not 'acting'. The reason I love GG is that it's a show about fake people leading crazy lives. But NYC prep is a fake show, about fake people, leading fake lives, pretending not to be crazy. I usually LOVE reality shows (the city, laguna beach, the hills) but this does not appeal to me... AT ALL.

GG starts up August 31st.

As for NYC Prep... I think I am rather going to enjoy it... What is not to love about watching the kids of the Uber-Elite being fake, hamming it up, over dramatizing things... The world around them is fake, lacks a true grounding, so in many ways there is a mocking nature that will probably make me watch just to laugh
