The problem is: It dosen't matter. People that buy this stuff literally do not care, they don't even care how it looks or what it is made of or anything besides it being recognizable as something "expensive" via the logo. Nobody is buying this stuff because they "like" it or it speaks to them. This is simply a hyper-capitalist exercise on how to make the most money with the least effort and as long as there are people willing to pay, they are going to push it further.
