I love seeing an old picture then making a connection to a later editorial and realising that this was the inspiration!

I can’t remember which 2000s French magazine it was but there is an editorial with babies in jewellery probably inspired by this.

Totally! I saw a rather obscure Avedon spread on this very forum that was the direct inspiration for 3 different photographers once. It's weirdly satisfying.
