Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez engaged *Update* Expecting Their First

I can't believe people actually think 46 is too old to be a parent. I think they've been too brainwashed by fashion's obsession with youth, that they think that anyone over 30 is ancient.

Yes, it may be true that there are increased risks for older mother in terms of delivering a healthy baby, but that is her choice, and she the has perfect right to make it. Who are you to say someone shouldn't have a child because it may not be a perfect specimen of baby. Is a less than perfect child less worthy of love or being born? I don't think anyone should suggest they can make that decision for a parent.

If I wanted to play devil's advocate, I could argue that it is irresponsible for anyone under 30 to have children, because they are often more selfish, willful, less financially secure and able to provide for their child and their relationships are less likely to be stable.

Best wishes to Halle. Let's just hope she and Olivier settle down nicely (though I am a little worried, given her past history of going for douchebag types).

i think if she wants to have a baby with the man she is in love with then good for her. If her doctors didnt think she was able to do i dont think she would have. Let her live her life and be happy. a child is a blessing
