It's not even the weight really that bothers me so much, actually. It's her face that I do find disturbing. If I truly wanted to delude myself because of a lovely face, I could either claim that she was naturally that thin or just sort of ignore the fact that her thighs are about as wide as her arms. That's not what particularly upsets me though... It's her sunken-looking cheekbones and sallow complextion and tired, too-old eyes. No matter how much makeup she's wearing (Anna Sui, even!) she always seems so unhappy and washed-out to me. Maybe it's her getting worn out from so many shows. Then again, I remember when she first broke onto the fashion scene and I remember thinking that she looked unnatural even then. I quite honestly do not understand these comments that regardless of how skeletal her body becomes, she still has that beautiful face to sustain her. To me, her face isn't beautiful or perfect at all. When I look at her face, I just see the lines already developing around her mouth and the marks underneath her eyes. And it isn't a pretty sight at all...

I think Gemma Ward is much more versatile and promising. She can do the ingenue thing or get all versace sexed up and look natural, whereas this girl doesn't have the versatility I think it takes to be successful.

I totally agree

I don't think anyone thinks she is perfect and of course its fine if you don't think she is beautiful, beauty is in the eye etc. There are lots of models popular that I don't really like. I just hate to constantly hear people pulling this girl to pieces, its so harsh.

A flower for that speech :flower: *whispers* "chic body".. :( sorry Atelier, I certainly don't intend to start another weight discussion here.

As much as I adore Gemma, I think she is too much of an "It Girl" (ie: trendy, walking on the street I think people would find her cute but not beautiful) to really last, whereas Hana has perfect, classic beauty that even non-fashion people can see (check out her thread on chilax.com - a site mostly populated by Victoria's Secret fans!). I think if Hana got a bit of rest and gained a bit of weight she could be one of the most beautiful women in the world...

I agree with you. She reminds me a lot of Grace Kelly when she was very young.
