Everything is atrociously, clownishly dated— from her wannabe 1990-Naomi hair to the party city styling that has her looking like a human party favour. Spanish Bazaar never quite seems to get their coverstory right. Shame, because their other fashion content are usually decent, although rather dated with that highly-saturated and contrast visual direction in photography that our beloved Glenda favoured for her Bazaar. Nick’s supreme couture story is also reprinted in this issue, and although it's just classic Nick Knight and nothing new; the production value-- from Lulu's modeling to Sissy's styling, is on such a whole other masterclass level to the cheapness of Jourdan’s shoot: It’s the difference between seasoned visionaries and children playing dressup.
If they’re able to move ahead— and hire talented stylists to start with, then this would be a worthy Bazaar. Their accessories stories and native Spaniard features are their strongest content.
