Very strategic of the Aussies to go for the Kristen shot even if it looks identical to the British edition. As predicted, the Lacombe images are atrocious and simply don't work as covers.

I think Hearst really need to relook at this Carine deal. The idea was to bring some HF flair to smaller global editions who couldn't afford it, but are there even such HB editions nowadays? UK, Germany, Kazhakstan, China, Serbia, Turkey, Singapore, Australia...these editions are actually way better than the US version and any Carine collection even on quiet months! Maybe demand her to present a series of images solely to be used for covers which will make the entire thing more tailor-made, and then the editorial. I'm assuming they're paying her a tidy sum for this yet every year it's a bunch of blondes lounging on white linen?

That Karlie/Natasha-Lacombe cover is a new shot.

The bit i don't get is, a lot of newsagents in Australia sell British Harper's Bazaar anyway, why would someone pick this up from the newsstand if the British edition has the original shoot and is probably thicker if not marginally more expensive? Still, as a subscriber, i'm excited to receive the Karlie and Natasha cover and checkout the content.

It was boring the first time and it is boring now. Tom Craig is capable of so much more, it is a waste of him to do this.

Just got my copy, feels relatively thin for a September issue. In the editor's letter, Edwina even added an anecdote about meeting Kristen at the Chanel show in Seoul. The Karlie and Natasha cover looks better in real life, but whether it's September cover worthy is arguable. My main complaint, as usual, is the current trend to minimally use local models and talent. It's their biggest issue of the year and both covers are reprints!

I'm sure you mean Kellie, lol.

You're right though, thy could've done a local cover alongside the reprint....
