Interesting choice for the cover girl. I doubt if many Chinese know Daphne at all but well I guess it's not a bad thing.

I'm glad to see David shooting for a magazine again but the color of the dress and those glittery fonts irk me for some reason. I'm hoping for an uber-tacky ed, since we always see Daphne as very serious and avant-garde, it would be a nice change.

Never liked LaChapelle, but the man knows tackiness like no other. The garish colors and sparkly type seems to be a deliberate copy of those Hong Kong variety concerts which feature big glittery gowns, an even bigger glittery stage with garish lighting, and a lot of sparkly fonts on the TV-screen for its home-viewing audience. And if that's the concept for this cover, they've nailed it.

Rather excited to see David back on a magazine. After all, his work for the face was my first ever encounter with fashion I'll always have a soft spot for him. Hoping for an over-the-top editorial .
