Harper's Bazaar China May 2015 : Lucky Blue Smith & Pyper America

I find their names more interesting than the cover. Overall I always enjoy the contrast of the a grey and white.

I like this cover it's better than the one he did with Hailey.

I'm bothered by letters over her head, which is bad. Also wish she'd look into the camera instead. Who even are they btw?

What odd sounding names, who are these people? I must admit I quite like the cover, a bit irked that the masthead covers her face.

I like this cover, very nice and fresh. Too bad about the letters over her face, I agree. But the composition and the styling are rather cool.

Lucky Blue slayed this menswear season as a top newcomer, and Pyper is his sister.

Are we supposed to understand names? I know their in a family band with their 2 other sisters, that are also signed as models. Could be a band thing, could be creative parents and could be Native Americans which have similar names (but I doubt that).

I recall an article about lucky blue saying that he's Mormon, so I guess probably not native American at all, just quirky parents

The pose reminds me of Vogue Netherlands' cover with Michiel Huisman, but done in a better way. I also like the color scheme. It looks so neat. Having said that, I'm really tired of women's magazines putting emphasis on men on their covers. I mean it's okay to feature men on the cover.. but the focus still should be the focus because at the end of the day, the magazine is still about women's interests. You can't even see what she's wearing! The makeup is on point but the chose to cover her with the masthead. I just don't get it.

The entire focus is on Lucky Blue. Not that I hate him for it, but isn't there a Men's Bazaar version for this idea.

What a nice cover! I love this minimalism. The grey and withe combination is perfect to me. Good work Harper's Bazaar China.
