Harper's Bazaar España September 2012 : Guienevere van Seenus by Nico

I was looking forward to this so much but now I'm quite disappointed! That's probably their weakest cover this year, I don't understand how this could happen, seeing as how Guinevere + Harper's Bazaar Spain's creativity seemed like a perfect match. But this is boring from the layout to the pose and the styling. Enough with that horrid Dolce collection already :ninja: Too bad, this fails to impress. Hopefully the inside editorial will make up for it.

It is kind of good but there is ZeRo expression on her face...

I agree!
You have the best model in the world, and you put her on this cover? This could literally be anyone

its too simple, i wish they chose a better cover

what a waste of Guinevere's talent

It's a wonderful cover. Amazing how a minimalist cover with a great model can be this great.

nothing special but i'm sure she will deliver in her ed, she always does

I love how her feet interjects through the text at the bottom, and how she seems to be holding up the text at the top with her arms. There is a great emphasis put on the dress and shoes with all the clean white space. So while it's a simple cover, it was still well thought out and I find it to be another strong cover from them

Thrilled that Guinevere's on the cover, but come on, this is what they came up with for a September cover? Very disappointing to say the least. I would have expected much more from HB España. Especially after the incredible work they've done with GVS in the past. OK, I'm done now. Let's move on to the editorials! :p

i think this is kind of great... i love how clean the design is.

i also wonder if they were trying to convey some sort of fashion as a religion type of feeling? maybe referring to their september issue as a fashion bible of sorts since guinevere's pose is clearly reminiscent of a crucifixion?
maybe that's a stretch, but if ever they were to do something like that, september would be the time.

I definitely think they were going for a crucifixion pose (look at that shadow), even more obvious than the Tim Tebow shot in this month's GQ that everyone is talking about. I somehow didn't even connect the "fashion bible" reference to it, but I'd say you're spot-on.

I also like that Guinevere's face is sort of in that blank stare, it keeps the attention on the entire cover instead of just her and she still looks gorgeous.

I love the shoot but I hate the studio backround, it's always the same. And I don't like the styling either, I'm really tired of this collection already

The quote is by Andy Warhol and says: I never think people die. They just go to department stores

^Their quotes are always amazing. What a smart magazine.
This is not my favourite image, but again, they strike with great text placement and colors.
